Mormonism and Adolph Hitler

Some while back, I did an article about The LDS church doing the sacred temple rites for Adolph Hitler. I commented about his residing now with Jesus and all those exalted spirits in [spirit] Paradise, the Mormon waiting room for the worthy dead who will soon be heading for LDS Godhood.

Recently, I received several interesting items on that subject. The first was a letter from fellow minister to the Mormons, Don McAreavy. He had read in a book, The Counterfeit Gospel of Mormonism, by Phil Roberts [page 174] that the temple work had been done for Hitler. Phil had written that on September 28, 1993, Hitler was vicariously baptized, ordained to the LDS Melchizedek priesthood and sealed in eternal marriage to Eva Braun. After talking with Phil Roberts, Don wrote to the LDS church in August of 1998 and asked them if this could be true.

In a letter dated September 8, 1998, Mae Dean Ashton, of the LDS church denied that this was true. She sent him a file entry showing genealogical information on his father, Alios Hitler as the closest thing in their archives. Having obtained copies of the actual documents, Don wrote her and once more asked for the information on Hitler and Braun. This time she wrote back [on October 9, 1998] and enclosed copies of their temple records.

On November 17th, Don wrote again and asked if work had been done for other Nazi war criminals and for some of the evil characters in the Bible like King Herod. He asked, "What is the criteria for making such decisions?" There was no response.

Mr. Decker: No message to you would ever get through to your heart and soul - UNFORTUNATELY!!! My only message is that you have our deepest sympathy and greatest pity and we do sincerely pray that you live to a very very old age because what you then have to face I wouldn’t have wished on Adolf Hitler himself. The list spans both the noble and ignoble, famous and infamous. On one hand is a host of Roman Catholic popes and saints, among them Joan of Arc, Ignatius Loyola and Francis Xavier, the latter now listed as married, or sealed, despite lifelong celibacy. Columbus also is there, sealed to a Beatriz Enriquez Harana — the explorer’s mistress; so are Buddha and the mysterious "Mrs. Buddha." King Henry the VIII, along with several of his six wives, have appeared in church records, along with the Communist foursome of Karl Marx, Joseph Stalin, Mao Tse-Tung and Ho Chi-Minh……

It is harder to understand why some Mormons choose to offer posthumous salvation to history’s tyrants and madmen. Herod the Great, whom the Gospels recount massacred Bethlehem’s infant boys in an unsuccessful bid to kill Jesus, was baptized in the Logan Temple in 1994; Ivan the Terrible, Dracula (Vlad "The Impaler," Prince of Wallachia) and Rasputin, spiritual adviser to the doomed Romanov family of Imperial Russia, also have cropped up in church files……

And then there is Hitler, whose dreams of a German Third Reich resulted in the systematic slaughter of 6 million Jews and the deaths of tens of millions of others during World War II…..[A Mormon man] acknowledged having been baptized for Hitler and several of his lieutenants — among them Martin Bormann, Heinrich

Himmler, Reinhardt Heydrich and Joseph Goebbels — in the Los Angeles Temple. …

It’s one of those strange Mormon things. "Joseph Smith said, " The spirits of the just are exalted to a greater and more glorious work; hence they are blessed in their departure to the world of spirits." (Teachings, 326). Those disembodied persons that are not in this group reside in spirit prison. When the temple ordinances for them are performed, they are able to leave spirit prison and go to paradise, and reside there with Jesus and Joseph, among the just and exalted.

The first question is. "How could the Mormon church, under any circumstances of error, allow these and so many other despots of human history to escape the righteous judgment of God and become exalted beings in the first place?" Oops! It’s not a logical, satisfactory answer. It has gone on far too long and there are far too many checkpoints in the giant LDS computer systems for them not to know. Their legalism requires that everything be recorded correctly. It wasn’t just Hitler, Mr. Pyle! It’s a whole legion of mass murderers.

The second logical Question that begs an answer is, "now what?" What happens out there in Paradise?? Do the Mormon leaders there hold a series of excommunication trials like their ecclesiastic law requires them to do here on earth? Do these exalted personages become suddenly un-exalted and kind of go poof? It’s just crazy.

One day, Jesus and Joseph Smith are sitting there talking to the former mass murderers. But, at the click of a computer mouse in some clerk’s office in the LDS Family History Library, Zap! They are now unworthy again. Do they get up and run for spirit prison before they are stoned? Or what? Think this out!
